Psalm 34:17-22
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
Summary of Psalm 34:17–22
God listens when His people cry out and rescues them from their troubles. He stays close to those who are hurting and saves those who are humble and repentant. Even though the righteous face many hardships, God delivers them from every one of them and protects their lives. Evil eventually destroys those who practice it, and those who hate God’s people will face judgment. But God redeems and protects the souls of His servants, and anyone who trusts in Him will never be condemned.
Prayer from Psalm 34:17–22
Father, I come to You as one of Your children who cries out for help. Thank You that You hear me every time I call. Thank You that no trouble is too big, too heavy, or too complicated for You to deliver me from.
Lord, You promise to be near to the brokenhearted, so draw close to me now. Heal every place in me that feels crushed, weary, or wounded. Lift up my spirit and restore what has been lost.
Even when afflictions surround me, I trust that You will bring me out of them all. Guard my life, protect my steps, and cover me with Your unfailing love. Let no harm overtake me, and let no weapon formed against me prosper.
Father, let evil fall by its own weight and let every plan of the wicked collapse. Defend me from those who oppose me and silence every voice that rises against me.
Thank You for redeeming my soul and calling me Your servant. Thank You that because I trust in You, I will never be condemned. My hope, my safety, and my future are in Your hands.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
